Foxtail Fern

Asparagus Densiflorus Meyersii

Foxtail Fern really can’t be beat when it comes to adding textural and sculptural interest to garden borders, rock gardens, patios, entryways and container gardens. It has an upright form, but stays compact enough to use as a foreground foundation in larger spaces. Foxtail Fern even looks great in hanging baskets, and makes a beautiful houseplant when placed in a well-lit spot indoors! This plant is valued not for the tiny, inconspicuous flowers that appear in spring and fall, but for the fluffy, bright green, fern like plumes of evergreen foliage that have a calming and softening effect on the landscape. Birds prize it, however, for the ornamental berries that appear in summer and fall.
