Shaggy, clumping grass growing from underground stems. Narrow leaves have curly threads at the end of each leaf point. Creamy, white flowers on terminal stalks rise above the foliage in early summer. Native to the higher elevations of the Southwest, this hardy, drought tolerant perennial will survive considerable dry cold. Great for stabilizing hillsides and median plantings.
