Glowing Magenta Primrose

Oenothera kunthiana ‘Glowing Magenta’

Many of you are acquainted with Mexican Evening Primrose (Oenothera speciosa). Glowing Magenta is from the same family but blossoms open in the morning. This delightful dwarf selection (6-12″high by 10-12″ wide) is easy to grow and  blooms on and off from spring into fall, producing satiny, rounded flowers in a deep magenta-pink shade.  Ideal for any smaller space.  Tolerates poor (but well drained) soil, heat and drought.  Hardy to -10°F.
